WOW!!!!!

Life has been crazy and hectic since Ashtyn joined us!!! Keeping up with 3 kiddos has me running! On top of the new little one Rayden started Preschool this year, Casen started at our church's Parents Day Out, and Rayden has started soccer. Since Ashtyn was born, we have also squeezed in two birthdays. Casen turned two (last posting) and Rayden turned five! The last 8 weeks have flown by and have been packed with lots of excitement!!!

Rayden started Preschool and was so excited. I was both excited and sad. The house is awfully (wonderfully) quiet with him at school all day. It was hard not to be excited because he was so excited!!!

Then it was Casen's turn. His first day at PDO he was soooo excited with his "pack pack" and lunchbox and marched right into the church like the owned the place... until he got to the room and realized he was staying and I was leaving! He didn't cry long. Day 2 of school there was no crying at drop off, but he had a meltdown after lunch. When I asked him why he cried he said (in his little 2 year old voice) "Cause I wanted you".... my heart nearly broke in half!!!

Then the day came that my baby turned 5!!! Yes, 5. How is that even possible?

We all went up and ate lunch with him at school. He got to sit at the special "birthday table".

That afternoon we took cookies to Rayden's class!

This year we had Rayden's birthday party at Dave's Need 4 Speed~ laser tag, cosmic golf, and go karts!!! It was an awesome party!!!! Rayden invited a few of his closest friends and all of our families and spent about 3 hours having a blast. The big boys had as much fun as the little ones racing on the go karts!!!

Now it's time for soccer. This is Rayden's second year playing and I have to brag a little~ he's pretty good for a little guy!!! All the hours playing outside with his dad are paying off!!! He really loves soccer and is a great athlete. Chance is coaching again this year and Rayden often tells Chance "I love that you are my coach"!

Ashtyn enjoyed her brother's first game. She is now 8 weeks old and growing like a weed!!!

2 is the funnest number.....

I can hardly believe that my little boy could possibly be 2 already!

Last Friday we celebrated Casen's birthday with a Handy Manny party with inflatables to play on. Although I was very disappointed in the venue, the kids seemed to have fun and Casen had a great time!!!! He has been singing Happy Birthday to himself ever since!!!!

The Waiting is Over.....

On July 15th at 4:05 pm we finally met our precious little girl. Ashtyn Montgomery Potter was born weighing in at 6lbs 11oz and was 20 1/2 inches long, with a full head of dark hair!!! She is absolutely precious and we can't get enough of her!!!! Chance is adjusting to the pink and the bows and the ruffles and the look he has in his eyes when he looks at her is just amazing!!! Is he already wrapped around her little bitty finger....... well......... you might just have to ask Ashtyn!!! Rayden and Casen left from the hospital after seeing Ashtyn to Ruidoso with my mom so they haven't had a chance to see what life with a new baby sister is like! I am sure it will be a wonderful, chaotic mess when they get home. We are trying not to let Ashtyn get used to all the quiet because that is one thing it will NOT be when the boys get home!!!!

The boys had their big brother shirts, their big brother buttons, and they could hardly wait for for Sister to get here!

Casen fell asleep in the delivery room waiting....

And after what seemed like forever, she finally arrived!

And it was love at first sight.

Rayden was so anxious to give her the bear he had picked out for her

Casen came in the room and exclaimed "MY baby, I hold my baby"!!

She wore her camo for daddy....

And her hair is a little crazy.....

But mostly she is just PRECIOUS!!!!

She is jaundiced, so she is now spending most of her day in a light bed.

Do you know how hard it is not being able to hold the sweet baby all day????

And because she can only wear a diaper in the light bed, it has really put a damper on getting to dress her up!!! She has a whole closet full of clothes just calling her name!!!!

Prissy???? Probably so!!!!

37 Weeks & Waiting.....

We had an amnio this morning to check on Ashtyn's lungs with hopes of delivering her tomorrow. However, God had a different plan. Her lungs were not anywhere near ready (she got a 28 and it had to be 55 or higher to deliver) so I got another round of steroid injections and they are going to induce next Thursday, July 15th. They said they wouldn't repeat the amnio, they would just induce. We are a little disappointed, we were ready to meet the little girl, BUT we want her to be strong and healthy when she arrives, so we will patiently wait!!!!

34 Weeks.... & Counting......

Things haven't changed much. My fluid levels are still high, but have remained stable. Ashtyn did measure small last week (in the 20th percentile). They said they weren't alarmed by this, that we would just keep an eye on her growth. I am now doing twice weekly monitoring and once weekly ultrasounds. We are still NOT prepared for the lil Miss. Hopefully we will get her nursery painted over this weekend and hope her bedding gets in soon!!!!! Time is flying by and she will be here before we know it!!!!!!

She did make her mommy proud at the last ultrasound.... not only did she have her Guns Up

But she also put her Horns Down!!!!!
